My Story

SELF-AWARENESS

Since turning 18, I began forming my path of independence in healthful eating. This all started on a bus ride back from NYC, when I read the book Skinny Bitch -ironic with such a cringe worthy title that could not be farther from my current view of health. Although the name is questionable, the content was thought provoking. Between my love for animals and newly discovered twisted nature of the meat industry, this was a true wake-up call. I began asking myself “what else should I be aware of?” For the next 7 years, I found myself searching for “the right way of eating” that would solve my chronic constipation among other issues (sorry for the TMI, but this is only the tip of the iceberg if we work together😉).

I felt lost, confused, and uncomfortable (hah!) until I had a pivotal meeting with Naturopath (now teacher, mentor, guru) Christian Limoges in 2016. Ever since, my bowel movements have been regular – I am kidding, Christian has brought much MUCH more value to my life than simply that. I vividly remember walking out of his office after my very first meeting thinking “WOW! Everyone should know this”. He truly reframed my perspective and simplified health – everything was so straightforward. Fast-forward 2 years, I made the decision to enroll in his Naturopath school to become certified myself since I was already influencing people in my surroundings to consult with him and adopt a better lifestyle. Over the 3-year timeline of this Naturopathy course, I was working a full time (non-fulfilling) corporate job, got engaged, married, and pregnant (fiouf!).

SHAPING MOMENTS

Amid a wedding, career shift, pregnancy, natural birth and raising a tiny human – big life changes were taking place while being back in school. Thanks to this consistent element in my life, I was persistently reminded of what is important and kept applying key principles of Naturopathy. From the outside it may seem like I had too much going on, but personally I think it was wonderful timing. Now, here we are! You know the cliff notes of the last decade of my life!

EMPOWERING FORWARD

My goal is to improve overall quality of life, vitality & target the root cause of symptoms in order to restore peace of mind and a sense of empowerment for my clients.

Why Naturopathy?

THE PATH OF NATURE

The term "naturopathy" originates from "natura" (Latin root for birth) and "pathos" (the Greek root for suffering) to suggest "natural healing”. Naturopathy is not a new modality – it began roughly 2500 years ago in ancient Greece, and is closely related to Hippocrates, who said “Let food be thy medicine" which I am certain you are no stranger to this saying.

Following in these footsteps, I aim at placing nutrition at the heart of my method. A naturopath teaches how to properly nourish oneself in order to avoid dis-ease, and most importantly increase one’s vitality.

With this approach, we are working together to stimulate the body’s
natural self-healing mechanisms. My protocols will aim to reinforce these abilities. As a result, symptoms and diseases have little hold on a  strong organism.

My vision is essentially holistic. I believe in cause & effect, discomfort being a result of an ensemble of physical, mental, and emotional factors and the importance of addressing the root cause (root cause > symptoms).

My mission is  to reconnect people with their source of living:
Nature

My Philosophy

THE POWER OF KNOWLEDGE

Any action aiming to enhance health must essentially be oriented towards knowledge. Empowerment and understanding are the foundation in the longevity of your health. Through knowledge, we become aware of the immense self-healing power which resides within us, and therefore, little by little, find confidence and trust in our body.

By understanding the “WHY”, we become empowered to grasp the intelligence of our body which functions in perfect coherence (or lack thereof). Those which we call illnesses are in fact the expressions of an organism seeking to find the energy required to maintain perfect health (balance vs disbalance). Nature is our greatest teacher, and by eating in alignment with it, we can tap into our body’s innate self-healing capacities which will transpire in all areas of our life.

On that note, remembering that our body is the most sophisticated, evolved machinery, and that we simply need to start listening and trusting it 😉.
